How recurring tasks work

From the schedule to the history of every occurrence.

Four pieces. The first three are on the Launch plan and above. The fourth adds AI on the AI plan.

01 · Any schedule

The schedule your work actually runs on.

Repeat a task daily, weekly on the days you pick, every few weeks, monthly, or yearly. Monthly can mean a day of the month, the 2nd Tuesday, the last Friday, or the last day. Set a local time in your time zone, skip the months you do not need, and end never, after a number of times, or on a date. Or start the next one a set number of days after the previous one is done.

  • Daily, weekly on chosen days, or every N weeks
  • Monthly by date, weekday, or last day; yearly
  • Local time in your time zone, with months to skip
  • Or N days after the previous one is done

02 · Each occurrence

Every occurrence arrives ready to work on.

Create each one ahead of its due date, or skip it while the previous one is still open. Each occurrence can go straight into the sprint that contains its due date. Titles take placeholders such as {{date}}, {{week}}, and {{month}}, and the subtasks are copied every time.

  • Create ahead of the due date
  • Skip while the previous one is open
  • Added to the sprint that contains its due date
  • Title placeholders and copied subtasks

03 · Manage and review

Every recurring task in one place, with its history.

One page lists every recurring task across your projects, and each project has its own Recurring tab. Filter, pause, resume, skip the next one, end a schedule, or create the next one now, one at a time or in bulk. Each recurring task keeps a full history of its occurrences: created, skipped and why, or failed. If its project is archived or its owner loses access, it pauses itself and tells you.

  • Workspace-wide list plus a Recurring tab per project
  • Pause, resume, skip next, end, or create now
  • Bulk pause and delete
  • History of every occurrence, and automatic pausing

04 · On the AI plan

Describe it in plain words. Let AI prepare each one.

Type a schedule such as "every 2nd Tuesday at 9am except December" and Sprint Track turns it into settings you can check. AI can draft each occurrence's description and checklist from the last one and the project's open work, labelled as drafted by AI. Or run one of your workspace AI agents on each occurrence; its actions follow that agent's approval rules. AI usage is paid from the workspace's prepaid AI balance.

  • Schedules typed in plain words
  • AI-drafted descriptions and checklists, clearly labelled
  • A workspace AI agent on each occurrence
  • Paid from the prepaid AI balance
